AUSTIN, Texas, May 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- MAP Health Management, LLC, the nation's leader in the advancement of data-driven technology to improve clinical outcomes and reduce expenses in behavioral health, announced today that Young People in Recovery (YPR) has joined the MAP Recovery Network. By joining the Network, YPR will exclusively use the MAP-designed platform to support the collection and demonstration of patient data. YPR, a national advocacy organization, provides community recovery resources through the development of chapters and programs focused on increasing access to housing, education, employment and recovery messaging. YPR is committed to improving the quality of, and access to, clinical outcomes data.

After years of successful advocacy, YPR realized an opportunity to provide supplemental support to individuals undergoing treatment for substance use disorder as well as during their aftercare. My Recovery is E.P.I.C., the first of a suite of YPR-branded, proprietary curriculums, is founded on the principles of Engaged, Peer-driven, Integrated and Community. The program is offered at the onset of treatment and continues with recovery support upon discharge, followed by the opportunity to participate in any of YPR's 100+ chapters across the country. YPR also offers additional programs that serve young people in or exiting the foster care systems, as well as those who have been involved with the juvenile and/or criminal justice systems.

YPR's president and CEO, Justin Luke Riley, who recently received the Champions of Change award from the White House in the category of advancing prevention, treatment, and recovery, says this about the E.P.I.C. program, "We took a look at addiction treatment practices and asked what we could do to enhance the experience and help more young people maintain long-term recovery. Our E.P.I.C. program provides a depth of resources, including how to access education, individual strengths, and inherent self-worth. By teaming with MAP, we will empower our chapters with a population health management platform that collects, measures and demonstrates the data needed to track the efficacy of addiction treatment. MAP and YPR are creating successful new pathways to long-term recovery."

The MAP Platform offers a comprehensive solution to the challenging demands healthcare professionals face. Health insurers, treatment providers, and consumers all have a stake in achieving more effective and efficient healthcare practices. The advanced software platform empowers behavioral health and addiction treatment providers with innovative options to extend the care continuum for discharged patients, identify risk, holistically manage patient populations and demonstrate value to health insurance payers and consumers through powerful informatics.

According to Jacob Levenson, CEO of MAP Health Management, "The field of addiction treatment has entered a new era where data is driving best practice. A highly specified, analytical tool that allows clients to collect and interpret clinical outcomes data is essential and MAP's Recovery Network Platform accommodates this need. We are excited to work in concert with YPR. This dynamic organization shares our mission to improve the clinical outcomes of addiction treatment."
