Vice President of Corporate Compliance
McKenzie brings 15+ years of experience working with joint federal and state health care programs and commercial payors, including 10+ years of experience in developing, implementing and maintaining effective compliance, internal audit and special investigation programs. Throughout his career, McKenzie has focused on identifying strengths and weaknesses for compliance program oversight, evaluating compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, determining appropriate processes for risk reduction, and educating providers. He has been recognized for being proactive to developments in the regulatory/governance environment and areas related to compliance education/training.
Prior to joining MAP Health Management, McKenzie’s served as the Director of Compliance for ValueOptions of California, a subsidiary of Beacon Health Options, formerly ValueOptions, Inc., the largest privately held behavioral health company. Also, as the Director of Compliance & Program Integrity and National Director of Corporate Compliance for Beacon Health Options, he oversaw the company’s Medicaid and Commercial programs’ compliance activities.
McKenzie earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources from the University of Southern Mississippi, and Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Mississippi College. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certified by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Also, he is a Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO) certified by the AAPC, and a member of the AAPC.
